CTT's Ground Crew were out in force again along Auburn Avenue, starting at the Old Navan Road. The team worked back up towards Castleknock Village on various tasks:
clearing weeds from the pavements
mowing the edges of the grass verges (on both sides of the grass verge, up and down the Avenue)
edging, where required
transferring sods generated to the loam bay (using the e-cargo bike)
removing the suckers from the lime trees along the avenue
sweeping grass from pavements
planting flowers at the pedestrian barriers and name stone
We welcomed some new volunteers too which was terrific to see and then it was back to Myo's again for some refreshments and chat afterwards. Thanks to all the volunteers for making a significant difference to this key junction on an approach road.
Thanks too to Jimmy Maguire who continued to paint the bollards and chains in the centre of the village. How decent!
