A bank holiday weekend, glorious weather and yet we had almost 30 volunteers out on Saturday morning. Great to see and even better to see the results. The crew set to work weeding, cleaning and sweeping the cobble lock at St Brigid's Church and at the corner of College Road. Given that Castleknock is no longer sprayed with herbicides, the weeds keep coming. The benches got a quick rinse and even the bollards got a polish. We welcomed several new volunteers in recent weeks. We are definitely becoming a more international team as we now have volunteers from Spain, Malawi, Chile, Mozambique, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Simply amazing and everyone is welcome! So, well done and thank you to everyone who came out and helped this week. It really shows in the village what a group of people working together can do!
