Five volunteers joined the Weekly Litter Crew, covering Castleknock Road, Auburn Avenue, Old Navan Road, College Road, and Carpenterstown Road.
It was interesting to see the types of litter collected—mostly plastic wrappers, bottles, and coffee cups.
Did you know that tiny plastic particles pollute our soil, posing a threat to plants and animals? A single plastic bottle takes 450 years to decompose!
A big thank you to everyone who came out to keep Castleknock looking its best while helping to prevent plastic pollution in our environment.
We’ll keep you posted for the next Litter Crew morning in a few weeks’ time.
