Tree Planting - Sat 1st Apr '23

30 volunteers (including the 175th Castleknock Scouts) got very wet and muddy planting over 250 trees on Sat last. Rowan, Sweet Cherry, Bird Cherry, Hawthorn, Beech and Copper Beech plus Whitethorn and Beech hedging were planted across Castleknock in Laurel Lodge, Auburn Avenue, Park Avenue and in various private gardens. This CTT tree planting initiative aims to address some of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - which are a "shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future."

Well done and thank you to all the volunteers who took part in the fun and have left a lasting legacy on the landscape!
