Second Open Orchard Planted

A second Open Orchard was planted in Castleknock recently at the open green area just off Auburn Avenue. The ten established apple trees were funded by Castleknock Tidy Towns and the Dept of Community and Rural Development.

Fingal County Council Operations provided lots of help and advice as well as practical support (by digging the holes and promising to stake the trees). This orchard will make a lovely addition to this section of our impressive lime tree lined avenue. Well done and thanks to the volunteers who helped out on the planting day!
