Our scheduled Clean Up for November took place on Sat 5th Nov.
Scouts and leaders from the 175th Dublin Scout Group, Castleknock came out with the CTT volunteers and together we all made a significant workforce. Overhanging brambles were cut back from paths, weeds/ litter and fallen branches were removed and leaves were swept along the village streets. Leaves were gathered on Castleknock Road and on Auburn Avenue too. Lots of ton bags were filled up and the contents were then deposited in the leaf bays (and composters) around the village. Some spring bulbs were planted and the roses got a winter trim (chop).
Afterwards the group was joined by some parents and refreshments were laid on by Myo's. The scouts enjoyed chocolate milk and cookies. Some CTT volunteers brought along home baking too. What a difference getting together on a Saturday morning for just two hours can make. Sincerest thanks to everyone who joined in!
