Hope everyone is enjoying Ireland's newest bank holiday today, in honour of St Brigid (a name we are very familiar with in Castleknock and in the surrounding areas).
It's been a busy week. On Saturday the CTT volunteers were out in force to tidy up the centre of the village ahead of the bank holiday. The 175th Dublin Scout Group, Castleknock joined us once again, along with some of their leaders. It's wonderful that these young people are committing their time to the local community, once a month.
The rose bed was tended, paths were swept and cleaned and litter was collected. Afterwards all of the volunteers were welcomed back to Myo's where we enjoyed a catch up and a most welcome cuppa (or chocolate milk) and cookies.
Earlier in the week, our newly evolved gardening specific group were out rejuvenating the pots in the village. Along with the three 3-tier planters which Fingal Co Co look after, the village is looking really great.
