This year’s CTT AGM kicked off with a warm welcome – tea, coffee, and delicious home-baked cakes set the scene for a lively and engaging evening. It was fantastic to see strong interest from the local community, with over 40 attendees joining us on the night.

Many who came along were residents keen to learn more about what's happening in the area and to hear about CTT’s plans for the year ahead. The evening sparked great conversation, with plenty of ideas shared and a real buzz of participation and enthusiasm in the room.

Chairperson Patricia Sheehan opened the evening with her address, reflecting on the many projects and activities CTT delivered over the past 12 months. She highlighted the positive impact these initiatives have had on our local area. Treasurer James Anderson followed with an update on fundraising efforts and a clear breakdown of CTT’s Income and Expenditure for 2024.

One of the evening’s highlights was a thought-provoking and uplifting presentation by volunteer John Halley titled Restoring Nature, Restoring Ourselves. John shared inspiring ideas on how we can make space for nature in our everyday lives – and reap the benefits.

We were delighted to be joined by special guests including Roderic O'Gorman TD, Cllr. Siobhan Shovlin, Louis from Emer Currie TD’s office, and Cllr. John Walsh – all of whom offered their support for the evening and our ongoing work.

Congratulations to Joanne Lynch, a local resident who won the free raffle prize – a generous voucher kindly sponsored by Woodies.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped organise the event, brought along cakes, contributed to the discussions, and made the evening such a success. The AGM was, once again, a meaningful and energising gathering for our community.
