Castleknock Poster Free Zone (PFZ) in place for upcoming General Election

Updated: Oct 31

Following the success and overwhelming public support which we received for Castleknock's Poster Free Zone (PFZ) during the recent referendum and local elections, we wish to remind everyone that the PFZ remains in place and applies for the upcoming general election (and into the future).

In that regard we have already written to all 13 declared candidates advising them of this. Posters advertising politician's public meetings are also included. There are plenty of locations on the approach roads to display posters outside of the PFZ.

The voluntary ban on posters is confined to a short stretch through the village and will apply to the Castleknock Road from the pedestrian walkway for Dunsandle Court to the Park Drive roundabout plus limited sections of the approach roads of Auburn Avenue, College Road and Beechpark Avenue.

By respecting the PFZ politicians are showing their respect for the very significant work that Castleknock TidyTowns volunteers have done in the village since 2019.
