Castleknock Festival - 18th June 2023

Another great summer festival held in Castleknock Village. The day kicked off with the amazing Castleknock5k race, sponsored by Flynn Estate Agents. Congrats to Kevin Moriarty who romped home to win in a time of 15:35. Our own volunteers Brian and Ruth also took part but were a bit off that pace. A lively CTT stand was manned all day by a rota of volunteers. CTT hosted a plant swap/give away which was very successful (with over 300 plants donated) and it generated a lot of interest. Thanks to those who made donations. All gratefully received. We also held a SAVE SOIL educational quiz, particularly highlighting the VITAL part soil plays in food production. The village was busy, busy and the atmosphere was terrific. Sunshine, friends, family, music, games and BBQ'd food. Overall, a fun day out in the sunshine.
