Bin there, done that!

Following lobbying by Castleknock Tidy Towns, Fingal County Council has installed two new solar-powered, compacting bins locally (outside the Castleknock Gate at the Phoenix Park, and at the 12th Lock bridge).

Each bin holds twice as much litter as the old style. These high traffic areas needed the bigger capacity bins to stop the issue of overflowing bins, especially at weekends.
