About Us
Castleknock TidyTowns consists entirely of volunteers who donate time and energy to work on various projects and community clean ups around Castleknock village and its approach roads. We have a steering committee of up to 12 volunteers who set and steer the direction of the group. We have over 50 regular volunteers and many more who help out periodically on specific tasks. We partner closely with Fingal County Council on a variety of projects such as the addition of benches on green spaces and the planting of spring bulbs, pollinator-friendly plants and trees.
Our weekly Saturday Clean Ups are held from April through to November each year (10am to 12 noon) - we meet in Myo's car park at 10am and head back to Myo's afterwards for refreshments at 12 noon. We provide all equipment, high-vis bibs and gloves needed for the clean ups. We operate a 'come when you can and stay for as long as you are able' policy.
Everyone is welcome to join in. Those under 18 years of age simply need to be accompanied by a parent, guardian or youth leader. We are inviting you to come forward to join us, if you can, to help out around the village. Or if working outdoors is not for you, you might like to volunteer to assist one of our sub-committees. Simply get in touch to hear more or watch videos from our members below.
